There are 2 different types of our products and these require slightly different care.
Our hoodies:
Avoid frequent washing - washing is the biggest enemy of clothes. Alpaca wool has a unique property – it is antibacterial. If the product is not dirty, we recommend just spreading it "lay flat" (DO NOT hang it on a cord!) on the fresh air in the shade. After such a long enough airing, the wool will get rid of odours and you will save yourself the effort of washing.
However, after a certain time, it will definitely be time to wash. You can wash these products:
1. dry cleaning with any solvent except tetrachloroethene or
2. by washing in a washing machine on a program for very delicate
laundry or on a hand wash program.
When washing in a washing machine, the maximum water temperature must be 30°C. The centrifugal speed must be set to the lowest speed. Do not tumble dry! After washing and spinning, spread the product "lay flat" (DO NOT hang it on a cord!) on the fresh air in the shade. If necessary, you can iron this product - use the setting for the lowest steam temperature (80-110°C). Do not bleach and do not squeeze. Avoid rubbing with abrasive elements to avoid damaging the fibers (like zippers etc...).
If this product fits you after trying it on, we recommend washing it before the first wear - it may contain dust from production.

Storage of alpaca garments:
If you need to store our alpaca wool products for a long period of time (several months), we recommend a hermetically sealed plastic container. The product must be perfectly dry before packaging. Remove any moisture after wrapping. This way, you will avoid the formation of mold and also the possibility of being attacked by moths.
The second option is long-term storage in the usual way in a closet. However, the product must be perfectly dry, folded, layed flat (do not hanged on hanger). To prevent moths from getting to it, we recommend wrapping e.g. in cotton packaging (not plastic). When re-using, remove from packaging, spread out and iron - use the setting for the lowest steam temperature (80-110°C).
We strongly advise you to protect your clothes from moths. They love alpaca wool. That means: ventilate well, pack securely and add lavender or cedar wood into the wardrobe next to your alpaca garment.
